While the details can vary, at a minimum a company should cover these 5 key areas.

Love Your People

Being a people centric company starts with loving the people you lead. Nothing is more important than your people. If you miss that, nothing else will matter.

Autonomy

A company should hire people who are a great fit for their role, give them the vision and goals to achieve and then throw all their effort behind supporting those people to do what they’re hired to do. Micro management is a sign of distrust.

Leadership Development

People centric companies should have a focus on developing leaders. While not everyone wants to lead other people, everyone should have the opportunity to grow their leadership skills.

Personal Development

A company should prioritize the personal growth and development of each of their employees by providing mentoring, opportunity and feedback.

Pay, Benefits & Flexibility

Pay as much as you can, offer exceptional benefits and as much flexibility as possible in schedules, locations, and work assignments. A company should focus on giving their employees everything they need to thrive in their role while only mandating what’s absolutely necessary. The more flexibility, the better.
